Dai Pai Dongs in Mong Kok

Tina has been basing her podium designs on the iconic Dai Pai Dongs in Sham Shui Po and other parts of Hong Kong. These small kiosks are prototypical features of Hong Kong: compact, dense, intense, and deeply integrated with the visual language and architecture of the urban fabric.

This "informal" urbanism works in concert with the hanging advertising signs, billboards, and multicolored facades of the street.
